The team is small but growing, emphasizing independence, ownership, and close collaboration with leadership. About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starting Medical Biller with leadership capability to manage and execute the billing process for a growing healthcare practice. This role requires experience in U.S. physician practice billing and the ability to independently manage processes while guiding future team members. Responsibilities: • Lead medical billing operations, including Medicare Part B and other payors via TriZetto clearinghouse. • Manage billing for approximately 1,000 patients and 6,000 CPT codes monthly; scale operations as patient volume increases. • Extract and manage data from third-party systems (e.g., Chronic Care IQ) and integrate into eClinicalWorks. • Follow up with insurers regarding payment discrepancies or denials. • Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting to clinical and finance leads. • Mentor or oversee support staff as the team grows. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and act as a problem-solver independently. Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of U.S. medical billing experience; leadership experience preferred. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management. • Familiarity with electronic health record systems (eClinicalWorks) and CPT coding. • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken). • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience managing a team, though not required. • Ability to understand denials, rejections, and electronic remittance advice (ERAs). Ideal Candidate: • Dedicated, reliable, and able to drive results independently. • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to plan, execute, and follow through. • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with leadership and coordination with stakeholders. • Proactive and results-driven, capable of leading initiatives without micromanagement.
