JOB SUMMARY Location: 3930 Cedar Creek Drive. Joliet IL 60436 Department: Cat Parts Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Overtime: Must be available to work overtime, including Saturdays from 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM, as needed. Pay rate: $23.00 Job Summary The Warehouse Associate Lead is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations while ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of parts and materials. This position serves as a working lead by providing guidance, training, and support to warehouse associates while promoting a safe, productive, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, and material handling processes to support customer and business requirements. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and support daily material handling and warehousing activities, including receiving, processing, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. • Provide direction, training, and assistance to warehouse associates to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. • Verify quantities, part numbers, destinations, and shipment schedules using various source documents and warehouse management systems. • Monitor workflow and assist with prioritizing tasks to meet operational goals and customer commitments. • Operate and train associates on warehouse equipment, including machines used for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging materials. • Demonstrate and promote the safe operation, inspection, and basic servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical warehouse equipment. • Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting as required. • Assist with problem-solving, inventory discrepancies, and process improvement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and cross-functional departments regarding operational priorities and issues. • Perform specialized clerical and documentation duties as needed. • Support other warehouse functions and complete additional duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS • Required Qualifications • 1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain experience. • Previous experience leading teams, training associates, or serving as a team lead preferred. • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, instructions, and operational reports. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. • Flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications • Warehouse experience in parts distribution or fulfillment operations. • Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems (WMS). • Logistics and supply chain experience. • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. • Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight. • Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor. • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
