Draft of October 7, 2026, not yet in effect. This text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

This notice explains what TrustyApply stores about you, why, for how long, and how to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. It is written for the service as it works today and is part of our terms.

1. What we store

We store only what the service needs to run for you:

  • Your email address, used to sign you in and to forward recruiter replies.
  • A password hash if you choose password sign-in, along with the account and session records needed to sign you in. We do not store your password as readable text.
  • Your resume and the profile we build from it: name, contact details, titles, employers, skills, and years of experience.
  • Your preferences: target roles, locations, salary floor, seniority, deal breakers, blocklist, and the mode you chose.
  • Answers to screening questions, whether written by you or filled in from your resume.
  • A record of every application: the role, the company, the career page, the exact answers submitted, the time it was sent, a screenshot of the confirmation, and its status.
  • Every message that arrives in your relay inbox, its classification, and when it was forwarded to you.
  • Payment records from Stripe: the $25 payment, when it was charged, any refund, and Stripe's reference numbers. We never see your card number.
  • Ordinary server logs, kept for security and debugging.

2. Why we use it

To find matching roles, fill in applications, submit them in your name, run your relay inbox, forward replies, show you the application log, handle your payment and any guarantee refund, answer support requests, and keep the service secure. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

3. Who we share it with

Employers receive the application you approved: your resume, your contact details with the relay address as the email, and your answers. Their handling of it is governed by their own notices.

Service providers process data on our instructions: Stripe for payments, an email provider for the relay inbox and forwarding, and the hosting provider that runs our servers. TrustyApply team members may see your applications when needed to answer a support request, fix a problem, or review a refund request.

We disclose data when the law requires it or to protect the service and its users from abuse.

4. Mail in the relay inbox

Messages sent to your relay address are received by systems we run. We store each message, classify it, link it to the application it belongs to when we can, and forward it to your personal email. Team members may read a message when needed to fix a forwarding problem or to answer your support request. We do not read relay mail for any other purpose.

5. How long we keep it

Your account, resume, preferences, application records, and relay messages are kept while your account is open and for the period stated in our service records policy. After that they are deleted unless you ask us to keep them or the law requires us to.

If you delete your account, we delete these records within 30 days. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are kept for 30 days.

6. Your choices and rights

You can see and change your preferences, mode, and forwarding address in your settings, and you can pause the service or delete your account there. You can ask us at hello@trustyapply.com for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We answer within 30 days.

Deleting some data may stop us from continuing the service or forwarding future relay mail; we will tell you if that is the case before we act.

7. Security

You can sign in with your email and password or request a one-time email sign-in link. Google sign-in is also available when shown on the login page. Access to internal tools is limited to the TrustyApply team. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you promptly.

8. Where data is kept

The service is operated for people applying to roles in the United States and Canada, and data is stored with providers in North America. If we move data elsewhere we will update this notice first.

9. Changes to this notice

When this notice changes in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
